Belarus’ oil products export to Ukraine down 5.3% in Jan-Nov 2020 to 2.877m tonnes

Belarus reduced the export of oil products to Ukraine in January-November 2020 by 5.3% year on year to 2.877 million tonnes, reads the official statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, the exports decreased by 39.2% on the year to $1.123 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> The decrease in foreign exchange earnings was primarily caused by a drop in the physical volume of the export of oil products due to the absence of long-term contracts for oil supplies with Russian suppliers in January-March 2020 and a decrease in the price of exported oil products. The average export price of Belarusian oil products for Ukraine in January-November 2020 stood at $390.551 per tonne, down 35.7% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, in 2019, Belarus increased supplied of oil products to Ukraine by 4.6% y/y to 3.301 million tonnes.
