Belarus’ number of mobile subscribers up 1% in Q3 2021 to 11.781m – Telecom Ministry
<p> MINSK, Oct 26 – PrimePress. Belarus’ Telecom Ministry says the total number of mobile subscribers increased by 1% year on year in Q3 2021 to 11.781 million as of 1 Sep 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the Telecom Ministry’s report, 7.59 million Belarusian mobile subscribers used mobile data transmission services in Q3 2021, up 5.9% year on year; 5.508 million mobile subscribers used LTE services (up 13.5%). Belarusian mobile operators (A1, MTS Belarus, life:)) increased their Internet bandwidth by 18.1% to 470 Mbps in Q3 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarusian mobile subscribers generated 8.336 billion minutes of voice traffic in Q3 2021 (up 1.4% year on year); the share of home network voice traffic standing at 79%. The outgoing international traffic totalled 6.456 million minutes (down 23.8%), incoming international traffic – 10.338 million minutes (down 29.2%); roaming – 9.572 million minutes (up 58.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Mobile telecom services (GSM 2G) covered 99.3% of Belarus’ territory in Q3 2021, UMTS (3G) – 98.4%, LTE (4G) – 76.7%. Mobile telecom services covered 99.9%, 99.9% and 97.5% of the population, respectively. </p> <p> </p> <p> Mobile telecom services in Belarus are provided by three operators – A1, MTS Belarus and life:), while infrastructural operator beCloud provides LTE services.
