Belarus Ministry of Transport views EU sanctions against Belarusian air carriers as corporate raid to seize market segment

The European Union (EU) sanctions against Belarus in the aviation sector, imposed after the emergency landing of the Ryanair passenger plane in Minsk on May 23, are an attempt to raid the Belarusian segment of the airline market. Director of the Aviation Department at the Ministry of Transport of Belarus Artem Sikorski made a statement to this effect in a TV interview. </p> <p> </p> <p> “There is a strangulation process.
