Belarus’ mining industry enterprises increase production by 1.1% in January-August up to Br1.148bn

Enterprises of Belarus’ mining industry have increased by 1.1% year on year in January-August 2021 up to Br1.148 billion, as the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) informs. </p> <p> </p> <p> Production reserves of the mining industry amounted to Br24.5 million as of September 1, 2021, which is 12.6% of the average monthly output. </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-August 2021 Belarusian mining enterprises shipped goods totalling Br1.558 billion, including 1.2% of innovative products. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Belarus, according to the classification by type of economic activity, mining includes the extraction of minerals occurring in nature in the form of solid rocks (coal and ore), in liquid form (oil) or in gaseous form (natural gas).
