Belarus’ mineral fertilizer output up 68.7% in Jan 2021 to 801,300 tonnes
<p> MINSK, Mar 10 – PrimePress. Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers increased by 68.7% on the year in January 2021 to 801,300 tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component), Belarus’ Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of potash fertilizers increased by 86.1% on the year to 700,300 tonnes, phosphate fertilizers – up 7.4% to 16,200 tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – up 1.5% year on year to 84,800 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Mineral fertilizer inventories stood at 167,600 tonnes as of Feb 1, 2021 (20.9% of average monthly output); including potash – 156,300 tonnes (22.3%), nitrogen – 10,100 tonnes (12%), phosphates – 1,100 tonnes (7%). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers increased by 2.3% on the year in January-December 2020 to 8.697 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component). Output of potash fertilizers increased by 2.8% on the year to 7.554 million tonnes, phosphate fertilizers – down 0.9% to 215,000 tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – down 1.1% year on year to 928,300 tonnes.
