Belarus’ mineral fertilizer output down 22.3% in Jan-Mar 2020 to 1.715m tonnes

Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers reduced by 22.3% on the year in January-March 2020 to 1.715 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component), Belarus’ Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of potash fertilizers decreased 25.7% on the year to 1.416 million tonnes, phosphate fertilizers – down 3.3% to 54,200 tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – down 0.3% year on year to 244,600 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Mineral fertilizer inventories stood at 115,500 tonnes as of Apr 1, 2020 (20.2% of the average monthly output); including potash – 100,400 tonnes (21.3%), nitrogen – 10,000 tonnes (12.2%), phosphates – 5,200 tonnes (29%). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers grew 0.9% on the year in January-December 2019 to 8.503 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component). Output of potash fertilizers remained at 7.348 million tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – up 7.9% to 938,600 tonnes, and output of phosphate fertilizers went up 2.7% to 216,900 tonnes. End </p>
