Belarus’ life:) telecom operator reports a 9.2% year-on-year increase in revenues in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br110.2 million ($44.8 million at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), reads the quarterly report by its parent company Turkcell Group. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Q3 2021 alone, life:) increased revenues by 2% year on year to Br35.1 million ($14.3m). </p> <p> </p> <p> EBITDA increased in Jan-Sep 2021 by 15.8% to Br27.9 million ($11.3 million). In Q3 EBITDA grew by 14.8% year on year to Br3.8 million ($9.3m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The company’s net loss grew by 0.4% year on year in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br24.2 million ($9.8m). Net loss in Q3 – up 15.5% yoy to Br8.2m ($3.3m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The operator increased capital expenditures by 31.8% on the year in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br46.8 million ($19 million); Q3 – up 19% to Br18.8m ($7.6m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The company numbered 1.1 million active subscribers, unchanged yoy in Q3 2021; the total subscriber base grew by 7.1% to 1.4 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Turkcell Group explains that the 2% decrease in revenues in the third quarter of 2021 was mainly due to lower revenues from mobile phone sales. Excluding equipment sales, there was a 15.5% year-on-year increase in voice, messaging and mobile data revenues for the third quarter of 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The operator continued expanding its 4G network in Q3 2021, leading the market in terms of 4G geographic coverage. As of 1 Oct 2021, the operator’s LTE services were available to customers in six regions, with more than 3,000 sites used. The company recently launched LTE-800 services in the beCloud network in Vitebsk Oblast, which improves coverage and customer experience. 4G subscribers accounted for 70% of the three-month active subscriber base in Q3 2021. Average monthly data consumption by subscribers increased by 25% to 13.7GB,” Turkcell Group said in its quarterly report. </p> <p> </p> <p> BeST CJSC (life:)) was licensed to provide communication services on March 24, 2005, and began commercial operation of its network on December 21, 2005.
