Belarus’ inflation at 1.3% in Sep 2021, 7.5% in Jan-Sep
<p> MINSK, Oct 11 - PrimePress. Inflation in Belarus was at 1.3% in Sep 2021, which adds up to 7.5% in Jan-Sep 2021. Prices rose by 10.2% year on year in Sep 2021; up 9.2% yoy in Jan-Sep 2021, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, inflation in Belarus was at 1.1% in January 2021, 1.9% in Feb, 0.7% in Mar, 0.7% in Apr, 06% in May, 0.7% in Jun, 0.1% in July, and 0.2% in August. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Belstat, food prices increased by 2.1% month on month in Sep 2021 and by 7.8% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Food prices increased by 11.2% year on year in Sep 2021 and by 8.6% year on year in Jan-Sep 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Non-food prices increased by 1% month on month in Sep 2021 and by 8.5% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Non-food prices increased by 10.3% year on year in Sep 2021 and by 10.4% year on year in Jan-Sep 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prices and tariffs on for-fee services increased by 0.5% month on month in Sep 2021; up 5.9% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Prices and tariffs on for-fee services increased by 8.5% year on year in Sep 2021 and by 8.7% year on year in Jan-Sep 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, inflation in Belarus was at 7.4% in 2020, the official forecast being 5%.
