Belarus’ industrial output up 7.9% in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br111.118bn

Belarus’ industrial output increased by 7.9% on the year in January-September 2021 to Br111.118 billion, or U.S. $45.41 billion at the official rate of the National Bank, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 2.3% to Br25.958 billion ($10.608 billion, $1 - $2.447) in January-September 2021, according to Belstat. </p> <p> </p> <p> The volume of metallurgy and fabricated metal products increased by 7.3% on January-September 2021 to Br8.389 billion ($3.43 billion), while the production of vehicles and equipment increased by 13.5% to Br5.007 billion ($2.046 billion). </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products in January-September 2021 reduced 0.4% year on year at Br7.27 billion ($2.971 billion); computer, electronic and optical equipment - increased by 18.5% to Br1.816 billion ($742.13 million). The production of electrical equipment increased by 11.7% to Br2.829 million ($1.156 billion). </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of machines and equipment (which do not belong to other statistical categories) stood at Br7.014 billion ($2.866 billion) in Jan-Sep 2021, up 16.5% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Since July 2021, Belstat has stopped publishing data on the dynamics and volumes of production of coke and refined oil products, as well as chemical products.
