Belarus food industry enterprises cut meat output by 4.3% in January-Aug to 688,900 tonnes

Belarusian food industry enterprises reduced output of meat and edible by-products by 4.3% year on year in January-August 2021 down to 688,900 tonnes, according to the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat). </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of beef increased by 6.9% yoy up to 167.7 thousand tons, pork - down 1.3% to 161.8 thousand tons, poultry - down by 12% to 307.3 thousand tons. </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of sausage products rose by 6.2% yoy to 183.1 thousand tons, ready-made and canned pork products - fell by 0.6% to 22.617 thousand tons, ready-made and canned cattle meat products - fell by 8.9% to 6.468 thousand tons.
