Belarus food exports up 12.6% to $4.7bn in Jan-Sep 2021

Belarus increased food exports by 12.6% year on year in January-September to $4.7 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Subbotin made a statement to this effect on the sidelines of the international wholesale fair Prodexpo-2021, the government's press service reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> “We are 100% self-sufficient in food, and, moreover, we try to sell all surpluses abroad to our partners as much as possible. Against the background of the global turbulence, the demand for food in foreign markets is increasing and prices are going up. Belarusian food exports in Jan-Sep 2021 increased by 12.6% year on year and reached $4.7 billion.
