Belarus’ export revenues up 8.5% in Jan 2021 to $2.997bn

Belarus’ foreign exchange revenues from exports of goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households increased by 8.5% year on year in January 2021 to $2.997 billion, reads a statistical report released by the National Bank of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> Revenues from commodity exports reduced by 19.4% year on year in Jan 2021 to $2.287 billion, export of services – down 15.8% to $657.5 million, incomes – down 31% to $14.9 million, other transfers – down 13.1% to $37.8 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported goods and services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 11.3% year on year in Jan 2021 to $2.387 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported of goods decreased 13.6% year on year in Jan 2021 to $2.762 billion, payments for imported services – down 2.8% to $404.8 billion, payments of incomes – up 16.2% to $90.6 million; transfers – up 3.8% to $32.8 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Belarus produced a surplus of foreign trade payments for goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households in Jan 2021 in the amount of $82 million to compare with a $526.1 million surplus in Jan 2020.
