Belarus’ export revenues up 32.6% in Jan-Apr 2021 to $14.511bn

Belarus’ foreign exchange revenues from exports of goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households increased by 32.6% year on year in January-April 2021 to $14.511 billion, reads a statistical report released by the National Bank of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> In April alone, FX revenues grew 35.4% month on month to $4.057 billion; up 60.5% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Revenues from commodity exports grew by 43.6% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to $11.157 billion, export of services – up 5.6% to $3.044 billion, incomes – up 7.3% to $93.9 million, other transfers – up 8.1% to $216.6 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported goods and services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households grew by 16.2% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to $13.53 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> In April alone payments for imported goods and services grew by 32.8% month on month, up 67.6% year on year, to $3.872 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported of goods grew 18.1% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to $11.115 billion, payments for imported services – up 8% to $1.657 billion, payments of incomes – up 1.4% to $530.7 million; transfers – up 25.7% to $227.7 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Belarus produced a surplus of foreign trade payments for goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households in Jan-Apr 2021 in the amount of $981 million to compare with a $702.2 million surplus in Jan-Apr 2020.
