Belarus’ export revenues down 14.5% in Jan-Sep 2020 to $26.532bn

Belarus’ foreign exchange revenues from exports of goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 14.5% year on year in January-September 2020 to $26.532 billion, reads a statistical report released by the National Bank of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> In September 2020 alone, foreign exchange revenues amounted to $3.397 billion, up 9.5% month on month, down 2.6% to compare with September 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> Revenues from commodity exports reduced by 17.1% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to $19.434 billion, export of services – down 6.4% to $6.455 billion, incomes – down 10.6% to $200 million, other transfers – down 5.1% to $443.8 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported goods and services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households decreased by 10.4% year on year in Jan-Sep 2020 to $26.354 billion. In September 2020 alone, payments for imported goods and services and non-financial transfers amounted to $3.004 billion, down 9.2% month on month, down 10.4% to compare with Sep 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> Payments for imported of goods decreased 14.2% year on year to $21.233 billion, payments for imported services – up 6.2% to $3.543 billion, payments of incomes – up 22.4% to $1.052 billion; transfers – up 8.9% to $526.7 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Belarus produced a surplus of foreign trade payments for goods, services, non-financial transfers of companies and private households in Jan-Sep 2020 in the amount of $177.7 million to compare with a $1.62 billion surplus in Jan-Sep 2019.
