Belarus’ export of fresh and chilled beef down 1.5% in Jan-Nov 2020 to $265.338m

Belarus reduced the export of fresh and chilled beef in January-November 2020 by 1.5% year on year to $265.338 million, says the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat). </p> <p> </p> <p> In physical terms, the export increased in Jan-Nov 2020 by 0.8% to 76,847 tonnes. Supplies to Russia amounted to 47,171 tonnes (down 14.1% yoy) worth $172.003 million (down 16.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of meat and edible offal of poultry in Jan-Nov 2020 totaled 185,200 tonnes (up 19.5%) worth $281.497 million (up 14.1%). Russia accounted for 123,400 tonnes (up 0.2%) worth $166.893 million (down 15.6%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of frozen beef in Jan-Nov 2020 amounted to 58,178 tonnes (up 15.8% yoy) worth $196.583 million (up 9%). Supplies to Russia totaled 39,874 tonnes (up 9.4%) worth $135.29 million (up 2.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of sausages and similar meat products in physical terms increased in Jan-Nov 2020 by 23.5% to 30,802 tonnes; in monetary terms – up 10% to $85.428 million. Russia received 25,310 tonnes (up 21.4%) worth $68.558 million (up 7.4%). End </p>
