Belarus’ export of cheese, cottage cheese up 13% in Jan-Nov 2020 to 249,200 tonnes

<p> MINSK, Jan 18 - PrimePress. Belarus increased the export of cheese and cottage cheese in January-November 2020 by 13% year on year to 249,200 tonnes, says the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat). </p> <p>   </p> <p> The export of cheese and cottage cheese increased in Jan-Nov 2020 in monetary terms by 7.2% to $965.663 million. Russia accounted for 235,000 tonnes (up 11.3% yoy) worth $908.74 million (up 5.6%). </p> <p>   </p> <p> The export of condensed and dried milk and cream increased in Jan-Nov 2020 by 8.7% to 199,700 tonnes; in monetary terms – up 4.5% to $430.129 million. Supplies to Russia decreased by 4% to 113,800 tonnes worth $245.063 million (down 10.9%). </p> <p>   </p> <p> The export of butter increased in Jan-Nov 2020 by 9.3% to 78,122 tonnes in physical terms and decreased by 9.1% to $360.412 million in monetary terms. Russia accounted for 71,443 tonnes (up 8.3%) worth $329.623 million (down 10.3%). </p> <p>   </p> <p> The export of non-condensed milk and cream increased in Jan-Nov 2020 by 10.3% yoy to 217,900 tonnes. In monetary terms, the export increased by 6.1% to $171.119 million. Russia was supplied with 202,900 tonnes (up 8.5%) worth $162.34 million (up 4.6%).  </p> <p>   </p> The export of buttermilk, yogurt and kefir grew by 6.1% yoy in Jan-Nov 2020 to 123,600 tonnes. In monetary terms, the export increased by 1.4% to $170.03 million. Russia received 117,700 tonnes (up 3.8%) worth $161.397 million (down 1.2%). End
