Belarus’ electricity exports up 3.4 times in Jan-Apr to 522.3m kWh

Belarus increased electricity exports in January-April 2021 by 3.4 times year on year to 522.3 million kWh, according to the official statistics. </p> <p> </p> <p> In value terms, Belarus increased electricity exports by 19.1% year on year in January-April 2021, to the tune of $24.320 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average price of electricity exported from Belarus in January-April 2021 decreased by 7.2% year on year down to $46.560 per thousand kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to official statistics, in January-April 2021, Belarus exported electricity only to Ukraine. </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2020, Belarus exported 653.2 million kWh of electricity (72% less than in 2019) worth $34.299 million (72% less than in 2019). The average price of electricity exported from Belarus in 2020 increased by 0.7% yoy, to $52.510 per thousand kWh. Belarus supplied electricity mainly to Lithuania (497 million kWh), as well as in small quantities to Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Latvia, and Estonia. End </p>
