Belarus’ cheese export up 9.4% to 244,300 tons in Jan-Oct 2021
<p> MINSK, Dec 14 - PrimePress. Belarus increased export of cheese and curd cheese by 9.4% year on year in Jan-Oct 2021 to 244.3 thousand tons, the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of cheese and cottage cheese in monetary terms increased by 10.1% to $957.218 million. Most of the products were shipped to the Russian Federation - 228.9 thousand tons (+8.3%) at $895.889 million (+9.2%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of condensed and dried milk and cream decreased by 2.4% to 180 thousand tons, while in monetary terms exports increased by 14% to $453.012 million, including exports to Russia - 103.2 thousand tons (minus 5.5%) worth $256.619 million (+8.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of butter increased by 2% to 73.503 thousand tons, in monetary terms - by 9.5% to $364.56 million, including exports to Russia - 65.522 thousand tons (minus 1.3%) worth $326.736 million (+6.6%).
