Belarus’ cell phone import decreased by 0.7% on the year in Jan-Mar 2021 to 419,712 units ($72 million in value terms, up 2.1% year on year), according to preliminary customs statistics data. </p> <p> </p> <p> China accounted for 62% of Belarus’ cell phone import in Q1 2021, while the share of Russia stood at 36%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus mostly imports inexpensive phones. </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2021, the trend indicating a year-on-year increase in the value of officially imported phones continues.
