Bank BelVEB opens China Desk at Great Stone Industrial Park
<p> MINSK, Mar 24 - PrimePress. Bank BelVEB on Mar 24 opened China Desk - an office responsible for servicing companies with Chinese capital – at the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone. </p> <p> </p> <p> The expansion of the China-focused institutional environment, in particular, the opening of the China Desk in the Great Stone Industrial Park, is stipulated by the 2020-2022 Concept for the Development of Cooperation between Bank BelVEB and Chinese partners. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The move to open the China Desk in the Great Stone continues the strategic cooperation with the industrial park started in 2019, when Bank BelVEB and the China-Belarus Industrial Park Development Company signed a memorandum of joint investment on the basis of an R&D centre in the China-Belarus Industrial Park,” the statement said. </p> <p> </p> <p> In addition, on October 1, 2020, the Industrial Park Development Company issued tokens with the guarantee of Bank BelVEB on the crypto-platform FINSTORE.BY, which is operated by DFS LLC. This was the first bank-guaranteed token placement transaction in Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> Kirill Rudy, head of the BelVEB Bank ecosystem development division (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China in 2016-2020), said: “…Bank BelVEB has become one step closer to customers, which is particularly important taking into account the current epidemic situation. The office will employ Chinese-speaking specialists, including native speakers, who will become the one-stop shop for providing all Bank BelVEB’s financial services primarily to residents of the industrial park. At the same time we believe that the new office will also attract the attention of Smolevichi District residents.” </p> <p> </p> <p> The Great Stone Park is located in the area of the Minsk National International Airport on the area of 112.5 sq. km. The special preferential legal regime is granted to the Park until 2062. Its residents mainly focus on electronics, biomedicine, fine chemistry and mechanical engineering. The declared investment for residents is $5 million (at least $500,000 for a research project). The land in the Park can be privatized. Sixty-eight companies from 15 countries are registered as residents of the park, with total declared investments of over $1.2 billion. End </p>
