The average nominal accrued wage in Belarus increased by 2.5% month on month in Oct 2021 to Br1,478.9 ($588.4 at the official rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In real terms (adjusted for the increase in consumer prices), the average grew 3.8% year on year in October 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Regionally, October’s highest average salary was in Minsk City at Вr2,009.9 ($799.67), up 2.47% month on month; the lowest average salary was traditionally seen in Mogilev Oblast at Br1,203.7 ($478.91), up 1.96% month on month. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Oct 2021, the average wage in manufacturing industries stood at Br1,553.1 ($617.93), up 0.03% month on month; construction – Br1,572.4 ($625.61), up 1.53%; fishery, forestry, agriculture - Br1,135.3 ($451.7), up 2.68%; retail trade – Br1,181.9 ($470.24), up 2.29%; education – Br980 ($389.91) up 3.32%; healthcare – Br1,425.6 ($567.2), up 9.28%. </p> <p> </p> <p> To compare, the average monthly wage in Belarus’ IT industry in Oct 2021 stood at Br5,598 ($2,230), up 0.28% month on month; banking and finance - Br2,186.6 ($870), up 12.91%.
