The average nominal accrued wage in Belarus increased by 0.97% month on month in June 2021 to Br1,433.4 ($570 at the official rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In real terms (adjusted for the increase in consumer prices), the average grew 4% year on year in June 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Regionally, June’s highest average salary was in Minsk City at Вr2,023.3 ($804.56), down 1.47% month on month; the lowest average salary was seen in Mogilev Oblast at Br1,175.6 ($467.47), up 3.08% month on month. </p> <p> </p> <p> In June 2021, the average wage in manufacturing industries stood at Br1,492.4 ($593.45), up 1.43% month on month; construction – Br1,541 ($612.77), up 6.7%; forestry, fishery and agriculture – Br1,083.4 ($430.81), up 3.68%; retail trade – Br1,130.5 ($449.54), up 5.2%; education – Br1,021.7 ($408.28) up 4.98%; healthcare – Br1,318.5 ($524.3), down 0.78%. </p> <p> </p> <p> To compare, the average monthly wage in Belarus’ IT industry in June 2021 stood at Br5,738.4 ($2,282), down 15.76% month on month; banking and finance – Br2,093 ($832.27), up 2.85%.
