The average nominal accrued wage in Belarus decreased by 0.58% month on month in Aug 2021 to Br1,463.2 ($584.58 at the official rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In real terms (adjusted for the increase in consumer prices), the average grew 4.1% year on year in August 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Regionally, August’s highest average salary was in Minsk City at Вr2,016.6 ($805.67), down 2.2% month on month; the lowest average salary was traditionally seen in Mogilev Oblast at Br1,200 ($479.43), down 0.53% month on month. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Aug 2021, the average wage in manufacturing industries stood at Br1,564.4 ($625), up 1.7% month on month; construction – Br1.624.4 ($649), up 6.7%; forestry, fishery and agriculture – Br1,155.6 ($431.69), up 6.7%; retail trade – Br1,141.3 ($456), down 1.9%; education – Br943 ($376.75) down 2%; healthcare – Br1,284.3 ($513.1), down 2.8%. </p> <p> </p> <p> To compare, the average monthly wage in Belarus’ IT industry in Aug 2021 stood at Br5,648.6 ($2,260), down 3.84% month on month; banking and finance – Br2,193.9 ($876.51), down 1.96%.
